V2.4 Bounding Box

Check model extents with rectangular and cylindrical boxes. Use it for pre-machining review, quotation checks and outside-diameter / height checks for round parts.

Measurement modes

  • Rectangular box for X / Y / Z model extents.

V2.2 Hole Check

Extract normal holes, counterbore holes and countersink holes from STEP / IGES models by condition and compare detected counts with expected counts.

Supported hole types

  • Normal holes based mainly on cylindrical geometry.
  • Counterbore holes with a larger counterbore and smaller pilot hole.
  • Countersink holes with a conical entrance shape.
  • Faces that form the same hole are grouped and handled as one feature where possible.

Result review

  • Compare expected counts with detected counts and review OK / NG.
  • Review hole type, through / blind status, pilot diameter, depth, counterbore diameter and countersink angle.
  • Hole totals and individual hole results are integrated into the standard results screen.
  • Save results, reopen them for the same model and export lists to CSV.

Usage Notes

  • Only one model can be displayed at a time.
  • V2.2 hole checking is for STEP / IGES only.
  • STL, threaded holes, tapped holes, slots and oval holes are not supported by the V2.2 hole-check function.
  • Some automatic weight calculations are unavailable for STL because CAD volume is not available.
  • If the path, size or timestamp changes, the model is treated as a different file.
  • Always validate results with your own data before design, manufacturing or quotation decisions.
